We only had 6 sorority sisters at our meeting with two new members coming in and being introduced by Lucy Spangler.

We discussed our Christmas Party which will be held at Billy's Italian Restaurant on Monday, December 13th at 6:30.  Names were drawn for Christmas secret sisters' gifts.

Former Sorority Sister Pat Tinney Dies


Patricia Ann Tinney, age 78 of Vicksburg MS, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to the late John and Mary Bell on December 26, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Patricia attended Avonworth High School before attending Robert Morris College and marrying Thomas G. Tinney on April 24, 1964, at Mount Nebo Presbyterian Church, and began her life as a US Navy wife. Their life together allowed her the opportunity to travel and explore locations across the United States and Europe while raising their three children. In 1989 she and Thomas moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi where she was involved in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, The Elks, and sewing and knitting social groups.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Bell, and her son, Brian D. Tinney.
Patricia is survived by her husband Thomas Tinney of Vicksburg, MS, brother Robert Bell of Quail Valley CA, son John Tinney (Tessie) of Hernando MS and daughter Heather Reeves (Wes) of Huntsville, AL, niece Amber Label (Kevin) of Wildomar CA, and grandchildren Sierra (Drake) Jefferson, Hayden Reeves, Meghan Reeves, great-granddaughter Dallas Jefferson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home at 5000 Indiana Ave in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Burial will be held in Sewickley, PA.
