Our meeting last Wednesday (April 5, 2017) was held at the Senior Center and had a silent auction that was so much fun. Table above was full of packages to be auctioned off. The back table was full of donated goods for the Good Shepherd Community Center which was our Philanthropic for the month April.
Secret Sister gifts!
An up-close view of secret sisters gifts! My secret sister gave me the "big" Easter basket and I was so proud to receive it.
We had delicious Subway sandwiches with macaroni salad and all the trimmings.
Delicious cheeseball, crackers and desserts of lemon bars and chocolate Easter cupcakes!
Love the centerpieces of chocolate foiled wrapped eggs!
Katie Hossley started the bidding but had a painful leg due to an accident and...
...then Lucy's daughter took over and did a fantastic job.
Her Mom is making a bid on the gift that her daughter is holding.
Sold to Lucy!
Lucy looking at the bowl and told her to let me take a picture of it.
The bowl had Vicksburg, MS on it. What a very nice prize!
Next, this big navy/white wrapped gift to bid on.
Janey Seabergh and Anita Hossley thinking about the bidding.
Anita Hossley got the prize and was a beautiful pitcher and bowl.
I love this! Anita will really enjoy it in her home for years to come.
After our auction was over we had secret sisters presents to give out. Everyone that attended had a great time and the food was delicious. Our next meeting will be our end-of-year picnic and will be held at Janey Seabergh's home at 201 Grinders Place.
